Getting to a same old place would struck one’s feelings when it has so much memories left in your heart. Being in a strange new place also would bring fear inside whenever you’re there alone while battling a pain inside. These are emblem of a heart that experience the causes of love. This magical thing is so powerful yet so mysterious. Anyone cannot tell when to stop it’s control in a powerless heart. Giving into it’s allure in spite of the causes it has brought to a heart that keeps on loving. Haven’t you surrendered your will to love’s control? Haven’t you experience becoming crazy for it’s sake? Haven’t you fight for it yet still succumb and yield to the power of love? Haven’t you knocked down, stands up and still welcome love or denied it already?

In this world, many things would try to change the essence of love. These things and people will affect the genuine good side of love. A lot of them intentionally inflicting pain and struggles to anyone. Others are unintentionally been beating others heart for the cause of love. Either way around, love suffers a lot. Can we just consider the misunderstood side of love? Love first of all is beautiful and never would wreak havoc in anyone’s life. How can we bring justice and freed love from the concept of its wounding side?

The most acceptable example of a greatest love is embodied by Jesus. We can only find justice in the goodness of love by understanding His love. The way He presented and exercise love make it powerless the idea that love beats up! He has given the good things of love to all of those subject of His love. All in their favors and gains! He has done all unselfishly. He has given all, without reservations to Himself. In spite all of that still His love overflows for anyone wanting for it. Unaffected by all the hurtful and evil reactions returned to Him by all the receivers of His love. With this we could say that He is the author of love. Haven’t you wonder how Jesus been going through with all those betrayal, condemnation and evil cruelty done to Him? How did His heart face it all? How did He handle His broken heart? Remember in the garden of Gethsemane, Jesus cried with tears of blood when He’s into mourning of His coming crucifixion. This just shows that His heart felt the grief cause by the people He loved.

What then is the wounding side of love?
Wounding is inflicting an injury, causing harm or pain to a person’s feelings or reputation. Love in its fullness is never a reason of your pain and suffering. There’s an opposing force that fights its goodness to happen in your life. The reality of the clash between good and evil is the reason that twisted the essence of love. Even Jesus experience how evil conquered the heartless people while on earth. Once a heart is reigned by the evil spirit, you can’t expect it will give a genuine love. This is deceiving spirit, pretending to have loved you, but actually it’s not a true love. A heart controlled by this spirit embodies all the characters that caused so much wounds to your heart.

A heart that cause a wounding love:
A heart controlled by sin is the main cause of affliction to all forms of relationship. This heart becomes an avenue for the evil spirit to invade and made anyone suffer in so much anguish. As explained in 2 Timothy 3:1-4, this heart is filled with bitterness, pride , jealousy, selfishness, lust, disobedience, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, indifference, insensitive, ungrateful, unholy, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lover of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lover of pleasure/materials rather than lover of God. This heart actually never has shown empathy and failed to love you in return. This is what it makes a wounding love. For it never takes God’s presence of love in the core of ones heart.
1 John 4:16 “We know how much God loves us and we have put our trust in His love. God is love, and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them.”
1 John 4:8 ” But anyone who does not love does not know God, for God is love.”

A heart with a forbearing Love:
To settle to any forms of relationship, takes one to love unconditionally. The way Jesus loves anyone unconditionally, lead us to the concept of forbearing love. Forbearing implies “endure, bear with”; there is endurance of all cost. Jesus endured all forms of resistance, hardships, persecutions, trials, troubles and obstacles in loving all of His creations. In the same way, love becomes genuine and lasting only if it endures and bears all the refinement process that goes with it. The process of removing impurities or unwanted elements of both hearts in the union of love. This process is very crucial to determine a true love. The purification of love will cause pain to those in relationship that could not endure the process with a hearts invaded by sin. Yet it strengthen the hearts that yield to God’s working in purifying their love. Forbearing love will make wounding love powerless.

1 John 4:19 ” We love because He loved us first.”
1 John 4:10 ” This is real love not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son as sacrifice to take away our sins.”
Don’t misinterpret love as dangerous and hurtful to your heart. For love’s only mandate is for your own good and happiness. As great is God’s love to all, same as huge the hatred of the evils in this world towards you. If love tries to unite families, the evil is effortlessly breaks it. If love also faithfully binds relationships, evil is tirelessly destroying it as well. Why these happened? When there are people willing to open doors of their hearts to evil spirit control then sin ruin everything that goes with love in their hearts.

You can keep your eyes away from things that you don’t want to see, but you can’t keep your heart away from those feelings that you don’t want to feel. With this, you will be hurt because your love is pure. You never loved if you’re not hurt! Never compromised the purity of your love, just to escape the pain. Face it and endure the refinement process. Jesus is all the way by your side, He knows what it is to be in pain. A heart that endured the process has so much love to give. Give love the way Jesus loves you!
